Adventure seeker
Hi! I’m Froukje Temme, a 25-year-old creative with a passion
for human-centered design, global exploration, and the intersection of technology and wellbeing.
After graduating with a bachelor’s degree in Creative Technology from the University of Twente in 2022, I began
working as a UX designer, eager to apply my skills in real-world settings. Rather than going straight
into a master’s program, I chose to take two years to broaden my perspective. Living and working in
France and Austria, backpacking through different continents, and spending extended periods in New
Zealand and Australia. These experiences shaped not only my worldview, but also how I approach design:
with empathy, adaptability, and cultural sensitivity.
During this time, I also discovered a passion for guiding and connecting with people. I began working as
a tour guide, leading active holidays for Dutch groups all over the world. This is a role that allowed me to
combine my love for nature, travel, and leadership. I also became a certified yoga instructor, deepening
my understanding of physical and mental wellbeing.

While originally from Breda, a city in the south of the Netherlands near the Belgian border, I’ve
always had a passion for traveling and exploring. At 18, I left to spent a year studying in Canada,
and a few years later, I went on Erasmus exchange to Umeå University in Sweden where I studied
psychology and interaction technology. These international experiences have played a huge role in
shaping who I am, personally and professionally, and continue to influence the way I connect with
people and design meaningful solutions.
When I’m not working, you’ll find me staying active with sports, snowboarding on the slopes, or
cruising on my motorcycle. I also love traveling to new places and getting lost in a good book. I’m
particularly fascinated by the potential of virtual reality to enhance health applications.
